David Swift (Past Speaker)

David was born and raised in Ireland. He graduated from the University of South Wales with an honours degree in Business Studies. He is an accomplished procurement leader with 25 years of international experience having worked in the UK, France, the Netherlands, Belgium and Switzerland, across numerous industries including life sciences, petro chemicals and management consulting.

Since September 2018, David has been Head of Corporate Services Procurement at Novartis. This includes all of the professional services categories i.e. HR services, external workforce, consulting, financial services, legal services, travel & fleet, covering an annual spend of $2,5bn. Prior to this David was Head of Human Capital Procurement for Novartis, managing the HR and external workforce categories with an annual spend of $1bn. Before that David was Head of the Packaging Procurement across all Novartis divisions, managing a spend of over $1bn.
